Bhopal / Varanasi / Kolkata, June 05 (ANI): Indians paddled, skated and walked to spread the message of greener and cleaner surroundings to mark World Environment Day on Thursday. People, especially children, rallied across cities advocating protection of environment. In Bhopal, the national museum of humankind in association with Green Planet Bicycle Riders Association organised a cycle rally to promote environmental awareness among individuals and vouched for usage of non-motorised vehicles. Meanwhile, children in temple town of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh also raised their voice for clean city. Dressed in green attires, kids skated for saving the environment, holding banners and shouting slogans. The city of Kolkata in West Bengal state too witnessed an awareness rally that advocated for plastic-free country.
