India is all set to witness a string of musical performances from renowned artists over the year.

Among the performers set to tour India are Grammy award winners David Guetta and Norah Jones, world-famous composer Yanni, and Julian Marley - son of legendary singer Bob Marley.

This is Guetta's second visit to India; his first visit was a grand success in March. "I am excited to play for the second time in India. The sun, sand and sea brings out the true performer in me and I'm looking forward to showcase something my fans have never seen before," the 45-year-old singer said in a statement to IANS.

Guetta will perform at the finale of Superstar India on Dec 8 at Candolim, Goa.

Julian Marley is performing on Dec 30 in Goa. As an earnest Rastafari movement follower, Julian is following his father's footsteps whose music is inspired by life and spirituality.

This year saw several performances from Akon, Bryan Adams, Pitbull and more recently Enrique Iglesias and Santana. Reggae singer Sean Paul recently enthralled music lovers in Bangalore, Mumbai and Noida over the weekend.

Other artists set to perform in the country are electronic music bands 'Swedish House Mafia' and 'Above and Beyond'.

The forthcoming year will kick start with performances from Norah Jones and Yanni. This will be Norah Jones' first tour to India, while it will be the second one for Yanni after his last performance in 1997.

"I have great love and respect for India's people and their cultural heritage. It has been an honour to have experienced the warm reception of my music in India," Yanni told The Times of India (TOI).

Rumours are rife that Lady Gaga will hold a concert in Bangalore coming January, according to TOI.
