Bangalore/Kolkata/New Delhi, Nov 20 (ANI): India condemned assault on a woman, who was attacked with a machete by a burglar inside an unguarded ATM booth in Bangalore. The recent incident has yet again posed a question on safety of women in the country. The residents of Bangalore have urged the government to step up security and ensure a guard inside the ATM. Condemning the incident, social activist, Saraswati Ghosh said that preventive measures should be publicised. Echoing similar views, former police official, Kiran Bedi called for daily policing with an aim to prevent crimes against women.
