Dhaka, Dec 05 (ANI): In the midst of a political deadlock and violence gripping Bangladesh over the polls, Indian Foreign secretary, Sujata Singh, arrived in Dhaka and met the top leaders expressing the hope that the forthcoming elections in the country 'strengthens democratic institutions, practices and processes.' Singh expressed concern over these instances of violence and said it would not benefit anyone. Singh added that both the countries cannot remain indifferent to or unaffected by developments in each other's regions and that India's consistent view has been that a strong, stable, independent and well developed Bangladesh is in the interest not only of the people of Bangladesh but also in the interests of the people of the region.
