Vadodara, Sep 10 (ANI): Continuous torrential rains in Gujarat wreaked havoc and flooded streets and submerged vehicles in Vadodara city. Alarmed by the flood situation in Kashmir, the Gujarat government sounded high alert and deployed teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for timely action. Reportedly, incessant rains since Monday morning (September 08) lead to overflowing of Sardar Sarovar dam. People residing on the banks of River Dhadhar have been asked to exercise caution as heavy rains were forecast in the next 72 hours. Nearly, 1,000 people have been evacuated as a preventive measure following the huge inflow in river Vishwamitri. High alert has been sounded in the districts of Surat, Bharuch and Narmada.
