Etawah, June 07 (ANI): Illegal sand mining has become a major issue in Uttar Pradesh. Villagers in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh complained that sand from a natural lake in the area was being mined and at least 150-200 tractors worth of sand was being carted away from the area. Villagers also said no one has complained yet because they believe it to be a government property and they do not know whether the mining is illegal. The authorities said the investigations will begin once it is ascertained that the sand is being mined from the lake.
