The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the results of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main. Over 12 lakh candidates had appeared for the examinations. JEE (Main) 2016 paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech) and paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) were conducted on April 3, while online tests for paper-1 were held on April 9 and 10.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2016 results for paper-1 and paper-2 on Wednesday, April 27. The candidates who will be shortlisted based on the results, will be eligible to appear in the JEE (Advanced) 2016 exams.

The examinations for JEE (Main) 2016 paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech) and paper-2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) were conducted on April 3, while online tests for paper-1 were held on April 9 and 10, according to the CBSE's official website for JEE Main.

Students will be able to check their scores on the official website of the CBSE, cbseresults.nic.in, and on jeemain.nic.in when the results are announced. Results will also be published online on the educational website of Jagran Josh, which also allows students to register their contact details and roll number to get the results via SMS or email.

How to register for JEE (Advanced) 2016?

The shortlisted candidates will have to register online for JEE (Advanced) 2016 on the official website of JEE Advanced. The slot for registration will open at 10 a.m. on April 29 and will be closed at 5 p.m. on May 4.

The CBSE will upload the admit cards online for downloads on May 11 and students can access it from 10 a.m. on the same day to 9 a.m. on May 22. Exams for JEE (Advanced) 2016 will be conducted on May 22 — from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for Paper-1 and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for Paper-2. All other information regarding the same would be available on the JEE Advanced 2016 website.

Nearly 12 lakh students appeared for the annual IIT JEE (Main) 2016 entrance exam conducted across the country, according to Daily News & Analysis. They take the exam with an aim to secure admission in the top engineering institutes, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
