The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) will be declaring the entrance exam results 2016 for PG diploma courses on June 24 in the evening, said the institute on Thursday on its official website. Hundreds of students appeared for the entrance exam in the premier journalism institute in India.

Entrance exams for the post graduate diploma courses were help on May 29 and 30 in 2016. 

Students shortlisted after the written exam are invited for the interview round.  

The institute was inaugurated in 1965 by then minister for information and broadcasting Indira Gandhi. The institute falls under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the chairman of the organisation is an Indian Administrative Services officer.

It has six branches: Delhi, Jammu, Aizwal, Dhenkanal, Amravati and Kottayam. All six branches teach the English Journalism course, while Delhi centre has other courses like Radio and Television Journalism, Hindi Journalism and Public Relations and Advertising. Odiya Journalism is taught in Dhenkanal centre.
