South Indian actress Amala Paul is all set for her first appearance at the prestigious IIFA Awards being held in Malaysia. The actress, along with her husband and director AL Vijay, and brother Abijith, arrived in Kuala Lumpur for the event.
The 23-year-old actress posted pictures on her Facebook page and said she was busy shopping in Kuala Lumpur.
The International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) is an annual Bollywood event held in various foreign locations each year. Malaysia is hosting the event for the second time.
The 16th edition of the event, to be held from 5 to 7 June, will honour the best in Hindi cinema, apart from entertaining fans with scintillating performances by Bollywood stars.
Arjun and Ranveer will be co-hosting the awards part of the event on 7 June.
Parineeti and Ayushmann Khurrana will be hosting the Day 1 event 'IIFA Rocks', which will feature musical performances by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Mika Singh, Ankit Tiwari, Kanika Kapoor, Javed Ali and the Nooran sisters.
"On the awards night, we will see performances by Hrithik Roshan, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Parineeti Chopra, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonakshi and Shahid Kapoor. It will be larger than life, big and spectacular," Sabbas Joseph, director, Wizcraft International Entertainment, the organisers of IIFA, told IANS.
