Prakash Raj is returning to Sandalwood with his latest film Idolle Ramayana. The actor has directed the film, apart from playing a key role in the flick, which is the official Kannada remake of Malayalam movie Shutter.

It is a bilingual movie, which has been simultaneously shot in Telugu as Mana Oori Ramayanam. Priyamani plays the female lead in the flick, which has Achyuth Kumar, Rangayana Raghu, Raghubabu, Prudhviraj and others in the cast. Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja has composed the music, Mukesh is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad is the editor of the flick.

The story of the film is about the incidents that occur in a few people's lives in two days. The three friends land in an unexpected situation and their struggle to come out from the troubles forms the crux of the story.

Idolle Ramayana has managed to generate decent hype through its trailer, music and promotions. The movie is clashing with Yogaraj Bhat's Dana Kayonu and Nikhil Kumar's debut film Jaguar. Prakash Raj's film is mainly targeted at the urban audience.
