Mumbai-based technology firm iBall on Tuesday launched a special 10.1-inch Edu-Slide tablet series containing pre-IIT entrance e-books and course materials for those aspiring to join India's premier educational institution.
"We hope iBall Edu-Slide will provide students an excellent additional learning tool to all - those who are attending any classes or preparing without attending any classes." said Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director of iBall.
The iBall tablet comes loaded with more 200 hours of audio-visual animated content and question banks. It also contains e-books for physics, chemistry and maths with personalisation tools, master problem package and Bansal tutorial materials.
The device also boasts of SIGRID technology, which gives students real-time classroom kind of experience by mimicking teacher's way of imparting education with audio and videos in sync. In the revision mode, students can interact with tablet contents comprehensively.
iBall Edu-Slide tablet sports a 10.1-inch IPS HD display with 1280x800p resolution and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean with 1GB DDR3 RAM. It packs a 1.5GHz ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core processor pair with quad-core Mali 400 graphic engine powered by 8000 mAh Li-Ion battery.
The device is priced at ₹31,999, but details regarding its availability are still under wraps.
iBall is also expected to launch the 3G-varaint of the same device with a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor in the coming days for ₹36,999 (MRP).
