Indian smartphone-maker iBall has launched mSLR Cobalt 4, which comes with three different interchangeable lenses for different photography needs.

Detachable lens for smartphones are not a new thing in the smartphone industry. Several third-party manufacturers sell their detachable lenses through several online sellers like Flipkart, Amazon, eBay and Snapdeal. The lenses are compatible with most of the smartphones and can be mounted on the rear for getting better pictures.

But iBall mSLR Cobalt 4 offers detachable lenses bundled in the pack for a budget price that can tempt Indian consumers.

The bundled lenses include a zoom lens with 8x zoom, a fish-eye lens with a 175-180 degree viewing angle, a macro lens with 10x magnification and minimum object distance of 10-15mm, and a wide-angle lens with a 130-degree viewing angle. With Octa Core processor power on board, there is absolutely no stopping from capturing the stunning images with mSLR Cobalt 4.

mSLR Cobalt 4 flaunts a 5-inch IPS qHD display (540x960) and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The phone supports 15 regional languages and is also backed by an octa-core processor, backed by 1GB of RAM. It is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.

The smartphone houses an 8mp rear camera on board with a dual-LED flash and autofocus, while on the front it packs a 3.2mp front-facing shooter with a soft LED flash for selfies. The built-in 8GB of internal memory is further expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.

It has connectivity options including dual-SIM with dual standby, 3G, Wi-Fi, USB on the go, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and HotKnot. It comes with free pouch for lenses and cleaning cloth for the lenses.

Available for Rs 8,499, the iBall smartphone will be available across the country within a few weeks. mSLR Cobalt4 will compete with popular smartphones like Yu Yuphoria, Lenovo A7000, Huawei Honor 4C and Xiaomi Mi 4i.
