Home grown tech firm iBall has expanded its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of Andi 5.5 N2 handset.

The smartphone which made its online debut earlier last week has officially been launched with a price tag of ₹14,999. The new handset sports 5.5-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor, paired with 1GB RAM. It houses 12.0-megapixel main camera with LED flash and auto-focus and 2.0-megapixel front-camera for video chat.

The new addition in iBall's Andi series runs on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box . Other stipulated features include 4GB inbuilt memory which is expandable by up to 32 GB with microSD card and 2500 mAh battery, flip to mute gesture control and sensors like gravity, proximity, and light. On the connectivity front, the new Andi 5.5 N2 smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, Micro-USB and 3G HSPA+.

Earlier this month, iBall had introduced another smartphone Andi 4.5-K6 in India. The device sports 4.5-inch qHD (960x540p) IPS display and runs on the Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex A7 CPU and is available for ₹7,395. Other specifications include 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 8.0-megapixel camera (with auto-focus and LED flash support), front-camera for video chatting, a 1600 mAh battery, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth, GPS, dual-SIM slots and 3G connectivity support.
