Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's fans will be disappointed to know that the kiss between their "The Vampire Dairies" characters Damon and Elena might not happen. The ex-couple has refused to kiss on screen, as they think that the weather in Georgia (where the series is being shot) does not allow one to kiss.

"First of all, it's really cold in Georgia, so I don't think that's such a good idea, Somerhalder said at the PaleyFest panel for the CW series, reported Entertainmentwise. "It was below 30 degrees, and it got so cold the muscles in my jaw froze and I couldn't speak. I looked like I had Bell's palsy,"

Apparently, Dobrev is also scared to do the scene. "I got icicles in my hair and I got really sick," she revealed.

Regarding his reluctance to kiss, Somerhalder further said that if the writers will write another kissing scene in the rains he might quit the show.

Fans of the couple wonder if the reluctance to kiss has anything to do with the tension between the ex-couple.

Somerhalder and Dobrev have been going through a rough patch since breaking-up and reportedly have not been able to burn the differences.

"When you have grown-up conversations, you have to put your big boy pants and big girl pants on and have the conversation," the actor said, adding: "They keep taking their pants off, and that's what gets in the way of the grown up conversations."

Somerhalder recently sparked dating rumors with his ex co-star Maggie Grace. The two were seen getting cozy at the 10th reunion anniversary of ABC series "Lost."
