The new Hyundai Creta has been grabbing headlines in India for quite some time now. The car has been spied testing in the country numerous times, making auto enthusiasts green with envy.

Now, to tickle auto lovers' interest, folks at Indian Autos Blog (via @felixjose1982) have posted a new spy shot of the new Creta, showing the automatic gearbox. Though the image confirms the presence of an automatic variant of Creta for the Indian market, it is yet to be known which fuel type (petrol or diesel, or both) will get the AT transmission.

Under the hood, Hyundai Creta is expected to have 1.6-litre VTVT, 1.6-litre CRDi diesel and 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel mills with six-speed manual transmission. To power the automatic variant, there will be four-speed automatic transmission and probably a six-speed automatic gearbox too.

Coming to the features of the new Hyundai Creta, previous spy shots have indicated multifunction three-spoke steering wheel, automatic climate-control system, dual-tone black, beige interiors and an infotainment system.

The exterior of Creta will include three-slat prominent grille, projector headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights, fog lamps, lower body black cladding, wing mirrors with integrated turn signals and silver roof rails.

The bookings for Creta are underway in India; the SUV is expected to fall in the price range of ₹8 lakh to ₹12 lakh. Once it hits the market, the new Creta will face-off with Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Nissan Terrano in India.
