Huawei is launching its premium-looking Honor 7 smartphone in India at a special event set to take place in New Delhi on Wednesday. The company has been sending out invites for the event, where it will reveal the official pricing and availability of Honor 7 smartphone, which was first launched in China in June.

Huawei Honor 7 pricing for China was revealed at the launch and the handset has three variants. The 16GB single-SIM variant costs CNY 1,999, which roughly translates to Rs 20,500 and the 16GB dual-SIM variant is priced at CNY 2,199 (approximately Rs 22,600). As for the high-end variant, the 64GB Honor 7 costs CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs 25,600), NDTV Gadgets reports. It remains to be seen if Huawei Honor 7 pricing will be placed similarly in India.

The pricing and availability of the handset in India is the only mystery for now. The Chinese tech company has already confirmed the specifications of the handset, which appear to be quite impressive and in line with some of the flagship devices.

Huawei Honor 7 is powered by company's own 64-bit octa-core Kirin 935 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores at 2.2GHz + four Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz) that is paired with 3GB RAM and Mali-T628 GPU. The handset features a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and laser fast focus of just 0.1 second. The sensor in use for the primary camera is Sony IMX230 with f/2.0 aperture, 6-lens module, covered by sapphire glass protection.

On the front side, there is an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/2.4 aperture. Powered by a reliable 3,100mAh battery with quick charging feature, Honor 7 supports 4G LTE and runs on EMUI 3.1 based on Android. Honor 7 packs a microSD card slot for those who wish to add more storage to the device.

To enhance the security of the device, Huawei Honor 7 features a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel just like the Ascend Mate 7. The handset received great response in China as it sold 1666 units in less than 2 minutes in July. Will it be able to continue the same trend in India? It is a question that will be answered soon.
