Huawei Honor 4C Review, handy in single hand use but feels a tad heavyIBTimes india

Huawei-owned Honor is slated to launch the new Kirin 650-powered smartphone in India on June 22. Though the company is tight-lipped on the name of the device, several reports have suggested that the Honor 5C, which was unveiled a few weeks ago in China, will make its debut in India on Wednesday for under Rs. 10,000.

To give a better perspective on the upcoming Honor 5C, we have listed five key features of the smartphone. This will hopefully help consumers decide whether to go for it or not, when it hit stores.

Here are the highlights of Huawei Honor 5C:

Display:

Once launched, Huawei Honor 5C will be the cheapest Tier-1 branded handset to boast full HD display. It sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD screen with a pixel density of 424 ppi (pixels per inch), which guarantees a rich viewing experience.

Build quality:

Huawei Honor 5C boasts of aluminium-based alloy shell at the back, which not only exudes premium feel, but also acts as a sturdy structure to the phone, so that it will be able to withstand accidental fall on a hard surface.

Processor:

The USP of the Honor 5C is that it houses Huawei's proprietary 16nm FinFET technology-based HiSilicon Kirin 650 octa-core (2.0GHz Cortex-A53 x 4 + 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 x 4) processor, which can clock a staggering speed of 2.0GHz. Currently, there is no other device in a sub-Rs. 10,000 price category that can match the clock rate of this CPU.

Its chipset is based on advanced ARM big.LITTLE architecture, thus allowing the device to perform more efficiently than the devices in the budget segment. Kirin 650 series is said to offer 100 percent better GPU performance and 65 percent better CPU performance compared to the Honor 5C's predecessor Honor 4C, which housed Kirin 620 chipset.

Camera:

Huawei Honor 5C houses a 13MP camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, touch focus, auto focus, HDR, full HD video recording and on the front, it flaunts an impressive 8MP camera with wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, which guarantees good quality selfies.

Price:

In 2015, Honor 4C made its debut with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and we expect its successor to be priced the same, if not less. This will help the company to give stiff challenge to rivals such as Lenovo K4 Note, Asus Zenfone Max (2016), Redmi Note 3 and the soon-to-be launched Moto G4.
