Huawei Ascend G6 Now Available in India; Price, Specification Details

Chinese technology giant, Huawei has released a mid-range smartphone dubbed as Ascend G6 in India via online store.

Huawei Ascend G6 sports a 4.5-inch qHD (960x540p) display and ships with Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS (with custom Emotion v2.0 Lite UI) powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU with sumptuous 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB).

Other stipulated specifications include, 8.0-megapixel primary camera with LED Flash, HD video recording ability, a 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front for video chatting, 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery and on connectivity front, it support 3G network, Bluetooth v4.0 and Wi-Fi (v802.11 b/g/n).

The new Huawei device has been made available at e-commerce website, Flipkart for ₹16,999, a bit over-priced compared to the popular Motorola's Moto G (16GB: ₹13,999, 8GB: ₹12,499) which houses pretty same specifications in addition to value-added features like water-repellant nano-coating, Gorilla Glass 3 shield and the latest Android operating software (v4.4.2 KitKat). On the bright side, Huawei device boasts microSD card for memory expansion, which the latter lacks.

Competition:

Besides Moto G, Huawei Ascend G6 will be competing with the Samsung Grand Quattro, Sony Xperia C, Xperia L, Nokia Lumia 625, Lenovo P780, 2013 model Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Blackberry Z10 and domestic brands like Micromax Canvas 4 and Canvas Magnus.

Few weeks back, Huawei had released another mid-range device Honor 3C for ₹14,999. This feature-rich phone comes loaded with enough ammunition to give stiff challenge to Moto G. It flaunts 5.0-inch HD display, 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core CPU 2GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 8.0-megapixel (main) camera, 5.0-megapixel front camera and a high-capacity 2300 mAh battery. Only down side of the Huawei device is that it ships with out-dated v4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
