The recently unveiled HTC One M8 which has made available in North America and Europe is reported to hit most of the Asian markets by next month.

Taiwanese smartphone maker, while launching the HTC One M8 in Singapore on 31 March, said that the device will be initially available in Singapore on 5 April and the rest of the Asian regions in early May, reported CNET.

The company seems to have learnt the lesson from the last year's debacle, which has made a jump start in North America, by announcing the availability of HTC One M8 on launch day itself in USA and UK (via select carrier networks) and has made plans to release in Canada by 10 April and Australia, China and European regions, before the end of April, to challenge the rival Samsung Galaxy S5, which is scheduled for global (150 regions) release on 11 April.

HTC One M8 in Singapore is said to cost SG$998, around ₹47,550 in terms of Indian denominations. The second-generation HTC One heaped praises from critics present in the venue on the launch day for its luxurious use of metal (90 percent) and curved design language. It sports 5.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) Super LCD 3 screen having a pixel density of 440 ppi (pixels per inch), protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield.

Under the hood, HTC One M8 ships with Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS (with new HTC Sense v6.0 UI), 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB inbuilt storage (expandable up to 128GB) and 2600 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which can provide backup for up to 14 hours of talk-time and close to 271 hours under standby mode.

The main USP of HTC One M8 is that it houses dual-camera on the rear-side having UltraPixel technology with dual-color LED flash (True Tone), 1/3'' sensor size, 2µm pixel size, automatic simultaneous video and image recording, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, HDR, panorama and on the front, it packs a 5.0-megapixel camera for video chat and also take quality selfie for the user to share it on various social network sites.
