Taiwanese smartphone maker, HTC today (3 July) officially launched the dual-SIM variant of the flagship handset One M8 in Germany.

"If a smartphone is as good as the HTC one (M8), then it leaves all other solutions behind. With the HTC one (M8) Dual SIM can now capitalize on the market for various mobile phone contracts each the best smartphone. This means that no one on the way waive its incomparable HTC boom sound speakers or have to settle for less than the groundbreaking Ultra Duo pixel camera," said André Lönne, Vice President Central Europe & Turkey, HTC.

Apart from the additional SIM slot, the new variant houses the same specifications seen inside the single-SIM model. It flaunts the critically acclaimed metal-clad (90-percent) seamless (zero-gap) uni-body design.

Under the hood, it comes packed with Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 series quad-core processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB (expandable up to 128GB) and a 2600 mAh battery.

HTC One (Dual-SIM) M8 is said to hit stores in select European markets –Germany, Austria and Switzerland, next week for €799 (around ₹65,000). However, there is no official word on when the new flagship phone variant will set foot in India or any other Asian market as yet.

As of now, the single-SIM HTC One M8 variant is retailing in India for around ₹45,000.
