Disappointment awaits HTC fans if one were to go by reports. The much-awaited flagship device, dubbed HTC One M10 aka Perfume, could hit the stores as late as May, and it could potentially affect sales of the device.

It's been reported that HTC One M10 (Perfume) will be unveiled in March before it is released in April. But leakster Evan Blass, aka @evleaks, has now claimed in a Twitter post its launch can be pushed to May.

A late launch can affect sales of HTC's upcoming device, as much-anticipated devices like Apple's iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 6 are expected in the third quarter of the year. HTC may be a great brand known for churning out award-winning devices, but it lags in terms of hype, and thus ends up losing out to rivals.

Evan Blass had claimed HTC would do away with the black bar that has been hitherto used to hide the BoomSound speaker chamber. If this happens, HTC's upcoming devices may have bigger display, but the move may compromise its sound quality.

According to reports, HTC One M10 (Perfume) will sport a 5.1-inch QHD display with a 1,440x2,560 pixel resolution, and come with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. Leakster LlabTooFeR has now claimed in a Twitter post that HTC's upcoming flagship device will have a 5.2-inch screen, but nothing is confirmed at the moment.

Under the hood, HTC One M10 (Perfume) is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 GPU, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with HTC Sense 8.0 UI, 64/128GB internal storage with microSD card slot, 4GB RAM, a 23MP main camera and a 3,500mAh battery.
