The Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has reportedly announced the introduction of its flagship HTC 10 in India. Although the HTC 10 and its lower-end model 10 Lifestyle were unveiled on April 12, consumers remained confused since only the latter variant was listed on the device portfolio page on the company's India website. This led many to believe that HTC may not release the flagship phone in India.

Now, the company (via Twitter) has confirmed the Snapdragon 820 powered HTC 10 is indeed coming to India. They have provided the hyperlink to the device's portfolio page, but refrained from revealing the date of the actual launch and the price details.

Reports, however, indicate HTC 10 is likely to hit Indian stores next month.

HTC 10 and 10 Lifestyle share most of the features, but differ in two key aspects. The former boasts the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC (System-on-Chip) backed by sumptuous 4GB RAM, whereas the latter comes with the less superior Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and features 3GB RAM.

The other specifications, such as screen, camera, battery capacity, build quality and design language, remain the same in both the devices.

The highlight of HTC 10 series is its camera hardware. It has 5MP front snapper with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, making HTC 10 series devices the only smartphones in the market to flaunt front camera with Optical Imaging technology.

On the back, they come with a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, second-generation laser autofocus, dual-tone LED, OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), and auto HDR.

HTC 10 series feature dual-textured metal shell with a layer of protective glass on the back with chamfered metal frame around the edge. On the front, they sport 5.2-inch QHD (2560x1440p) super LCD 5 display having pixel density of 564 ppi(pixels per inch), physical home button, which also doubles up as a fingerprint-based unlock button, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi system with Dolby audio technology, and a 3000mAh battery.
