Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan will undergo a brain surgery to remove a clot between the brain membrane and skull, at Hinduja hospital on Sunday.

According to various reports, the surgery will commence around 2 pm or 3 pm and Hrithik's entire family is with him at the hospital.

Before leaving for the surgery the "Krrish 3" actor posted a comment on his Facebook wall informing his fans about the surgery.

"We all know that we create a life of joy using the power of our mind. I've had the privilege of creating wonders with this amazing gift given to us called the brain. Occasionally one must look within and realize its value. It gives us the power to see, hear, touch, smell and taste, it allows us to conquer fear and create courage to do things we never imagined," his post stated.

"Maybe it's time for me to feel the power literally. I am going to go through brain surgery today and want you to know that I am going in with absolute power to recover fast. My thanks to all of you for using the power of your mind to contribute to my life. Love you all."

Confirming the reports of the actor's surgery, Hrithik's father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan said, "It is a minor surgery called chronic subdural hematoma and it happens due to some impact on the head,'' The Times of India reported.

Going into the details of the surgery and the reason behind the clot Rakesh said, "Hrithik Roshan got hit on his head during the shooting of Bang Bang two months back in Phuket. He had constant headache and it developed into a clot in between the brain membrane and the skull which he is getting operated for. Dr B K Mishra from Hinduja hospital, who is a gamma knife specialist, will be operating him."

Hrithik has been too busy with the shooting of his upcoming films "Krrish 3" and "Bang Bang". Action thriller "Bang Bang" starring Katrina Kaif will hit screens in 2014, while the superhero flick "Krrish 3" is set to release on 4 November.
