Apple India has rolled out the latest chapter of its "Great Ideas Start Here" campaign, spotlighting student entrepreneurs across India who are building startups from dorm rooms, hostels and college campuses using MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.
The campaign reflects a growing trend among young Indian founders who are increasingly launching businesses outside traditional startup ecosystems. Instead of operating from offices or incubators, many are building apps, brands and digital products while balancing academic life.
The campaign follows three student founders — Gaurav, Ananya and Kabeer — and highlights how they use Mac across coding, AI workflows, content creation, multitasking and app development.
Kabeer is shown managing multiple workflows simultaneously, from coding with AI tools to testing his payment application. Ananya uses her Mac for college assignments, presentations and editing content for her sustainable kitchenware startup. Gaurav, a 2025 Swift Student Challenge Distinguished Winner, developed a medical emergency app called Fast Aid on Mac in just 13 days. The app is now available on the App Store, and he later presented it to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

The campaign also draws attention to Apple's Swift Student Challenge, an annual global programme that encourages students to create app playgrounds using the Swift coding language. The initiative has become a launchpad for young developers looking to build practical coding and app development skills.
Alongside the student stories, the campaign focuses on features aimed at younger creators and founders, including long battery life, multitasking tools such as Stage Manager and window tiling, AI-powered workflows, and creative and productivity apps. The latest MacBook Air models powered by the M5 chip are positioned as capable of handling AI-based tasks, creative projects and everyday student workflows, while MacBook Pro is highlighted for more advanced professional workloads.
The campaign is being released through short social films across digital platforms, with longer-format YouTube stories expected during the back-to-school season.
The campaign rolls out today through a mix of 30-second social films across digital and social channels and will continue evolving through the back-to-school season with additional longer-form 90-second YouTube stories.
