Winter finale episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" (HTGAWM) did not just focus on Professor Sam Keating (Tom Verica) murder case. Instead it took the viewers through the life of Professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and team after the incident.

The storyline of "Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me" picked up right from where it stopped last week. The heated argument between Annalise and her husband Sam about Lila Stangard (Megan West) murder case turned out to be a major plot in the crime story. Because the series of events on the dark and stormy bonfire night began with this sequence.

While Annalise tries to provoke Sam by telling him about the details of her relationship with detective Nate Lahey (Billy Brown), Sam furiously chokes her and calls her a piece of ass and disgusting slut. Finally the defence attorney storms out of the house and her husband walks into the kitchen.

At the meantime, Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King) arrives with the trophy asking for Annalise. Though Sam tries to kick her out, the stubborn student of Annalise decides to sit on the couch and wait for her professor.

Meanwhile, Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay) makes her move to collect evidence against Sam on Stangard murder case. Despite Sam's effort to stop her, the young drug dealer manages to get hold of his secrets. Panicked by Sam's attempt to stop Sutter, Pratt calls her friends Laurel Castillo (Karla Souza), Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) and Connor Walsh (Jack Falahee) for help.

The students try their best to confront Sam but the tables turn against them when Sam tries to grab the evidence from Sutter. In an act of defense, Pratt pushes Sam and he flies off the stairs, hitting his head on the banister and the students think that he is dead until he chokes Sutter, which provokes Gibbins to attack Sam with the trophy.

When they are about to leave the house, Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry) arrives and knocks the door. The students hide themselves and wait for him to leave. After he leaves, Gibbins takes Sutter to the motel and the rest of the team heads towards the woods.

On the other hand, Annalise meets Lahey at his house and spends time with him. But after a while, she decides to make a call to her husband and leaves a voice mail to him saying, "Whatever you did, whatever the truth is, I will stay by your side no matter what. Because I'm your wife and I love you and I need you. So, please come home, Sam. Come home so we can be together. Come home."

Meanwhile, Gibbins decides to get the murder weapon from the house. After taking the trophy, he looks at Sam's dead body and says, "I'm So Sorry". The student gets the shock of his life when Annalise replies, "Don't be".

However, the students finally burn the body and goes back to their respective places - Gibbins gets back to Sutter, Castillo meets Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber), Walsh takes the shelter at Oliver Hampton's (Conrad Ricamora) place and Pratt goes back home.

In the next morning, Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil) asks the students to reach office immediately. The episode ends with Annalise informing the students that Sam is missing.

"The police are going to ask you a lot of questions about my husband. I need you all to be as honest with the police as possible. Will you promise that you'll do that for me?" she asks.
