To mark India's 69th Independence Day, leading Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has announced price cuts for its select Honor series devices being sold in the country.

"Consumers are looking at savings more than ever before. With our wide range of product offerings, we aim to provide consumers with feature-rich smartphones. This Independence Day, we intend to provide consumers with unmatchable discount offers on Honor products," Allen Wang, president of Consumer Business Group of Huawei Telecommunication India said on Friday.

"This will help us connect more closely with our existing customers and tap the potential ones. We hope that this 'Super Saving' offer will help Honor build a strong foothold in the Indian market," Wang said announcing special offers under Honor Independence Day Sale.

The company says that the prospective buyers of the flagship smartphone Honor 6 Plus will get free Honor power bank. It will also be offering additional Rs 10,000 cash discounts under exchange deal.

Huawei is giving away free 16GB memory card on purchase of budget smartphone Honor Bee. It will also be available through exchange deal and buyers can get up to Rs 2,000 cash back.

Huawei's feature-rich phones Honor 6 and Holly prices get slashed by Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively. Buyers can avail additional Rs 6,000 and Rs 2,000 discounts in exchange offer on these phones, says the company.

Honor 4C, which costs Rs 8,999 on Flipkart, is now offered with flat 10% discount. On the other hand, price of Honor 4X is also being reduced to Rs 9,499 from Rs 9,999. One can avail an additional discount of Rs 4,000 for the Huawei phablet under the exchange offer.

That is not all. Huawei has also confirmed that buyers of any of the aforementioned Honor series devices will get an additional 10% discount if purchased using an SBI account debit card on Flipkart mobile app. The Honor Independence Day 2015 offer will be valid for two days only starting 7 August.
