Hero MotoCorp's new 110cc scooter Maestro Edge made its India debut on 29 September (Tuesday) at a press event in New Delhi.

The company has also unveiled its Duet 110cc scooter. However, the Duet launch will take place later.

Powered by 110.9cc single-cylinder engine, which is tuned to dish out a power of 8.34 PS at 8000 RPM and a peak torque of 8.30 Nm at 6500 RPM, comes mated to a CVT transmission. Hero Maestro Edge--the newest in the 110cc segment--measures 1,840 mm in length, 695 mm in width, 1,190 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,265 mm. The kerb weight of the new scooter stands at 110 kg.

Offered in two variants--LX and VX--Hero Maestro Edge will be available in seven body paints: Pearl Silver White, Panther Black, Shooting Night Star, Candy Blazing Red, Techno Blue, Matt Vernier Grey and Matte Blue.

The features list of Hero Maestro Edge includes telescopic front suspension, external fuel filler, 12-inch front alloy wheel, tubeless tyres, integrated braking, digi-analogue instrument console with service reminder, mobile charging port, immobiliser and LED tail light and under seat storage compartment lamp.

Hero Duet

Hero Duet--second scooter from Hero in the 110cc segment to compete with the likes of Honda Activa--is 1,830 mm in length, 725 mm in width and 1,140 mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,245 mm. Powering the Duet is 110.9cc single-cylinder engine, which can churn out 8.43 PS at 8,000 RPM and 8.30 Nm at 6,500 RPM.

Expected to be offered in LX and VX variants, Hero Duet features semi-digi instrument cluster, under seat storage lamp, rear luggage hooks and external fuel filler with buzzer. The suspension will be taken care of by telescopic forks at the front and shock absorbers at the rear.
