Shah Rukh Khan has always been very gung ho about making films that are big on visual effects — Fan is a stellar example of that. His banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, has a VFX branch dedicated to help projects that heavily rely on computer generated imagery (CGI).

Talking to Mid-Day, Khan revealed that he is in talks with the makers of Krrish 4 and Ranbir Kapoor's next with Ayan Mukerji. Apparently, the young filmmaker has had a chance to speak with his team and get a good look at how they function.

"I have spoken to Ayan about it and he had even come down to see the office and meet people who will work on it. I won't hold a grouse if some filmmakers don't choose us. But, my vision is that this company should be on everyone's go-to list. I believe technology can help Indian films match up to international standards and good visual effects is quintessential," he further elaborated.

The other project Red Chillies VFX is working on is Khan's as-yet-untitled film with Aanand L Rai. The team plans to shoot big chunks in Meerut and recreate visuals in the studio. Because the actor's company has now outsourced work to China, they will be able to juggle assignments.

This particular film will see Khan essay a dwarf and therefore VFX is crucial. Earlier this year, Khan had said the as-yet-untitled project needs technology that hasn't been tried in India before, but it was used for The Hobbit and so, there's hope.

"I would have a problem if I have to do it on my knees. I am trying to avoid that part because that looks unreal and in today's time and age, you don't want to do that. So we are trying to figure out and we are doing R&D already. Aanand has a collection of ideas about what we have to do. If need be, we will figure out how to do it abroad and then bring it here," DNA quoted the actor as saying.
