Season 1 of "Descendants of the Sun" wrapped up in April, but its lead stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are still in contact. Rumours are rife that their on-screen romance has spilled on to their real life too, and Song Hye Kyo once again sent tongues wagging after she sent a coffee truck to Song Joong Ki and the crew of his new movie "Battleship Island."
This generous act of the actress was revealed by Coffee Pong, a coffee company. They uploaded on its official Instagram page a photo revealing Song Hye Kyo's gift.
"Song Joong Ki, 'Battleship Island' Staff, Stay Strong!" the sign on the truck reads. "It's our fourth visit to the set of film 'Battleship Island.' The filming is seriously happening all the time regardless of day or night," the caption reads, according to Soompi. "Actress Song Hye Kyo, an angel to the bone, called Coffee Pong for actor Song Joong Ki and the staff who are working hard. Even today many staff members we sweating like it was raining. We were also excited today thanks to actor Song Joong Ki who always comes over to greet us personally!"
The success of South Korean military drama "Descendants of the Sun" has made Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo a beloved couple, and there's a lot of interest in their personal lives. Neither Song Joong Ki nor Song Hye Kyo has commented on romance rumours, but it's no secret that they share a warm relationship.
For instance, on more than one occasion Song Hye Kyo has said her "Descendants of the Sun" co-star has been an amazing person to work with. "I was looking forward to meeting him since so many people told me good things about him, and it turned out that he was an even better person than I'd thought," she said during a fan meet in China. "He's very sincere and thoughtful when filming. I think he's really cool."
Song Joong Ki, in return, told Couch Kimchi that in addition to being a beautiful person, Song Hye Kyo has a heart of gold as well. "I felt really happy to be able to film together with Korea's most beautiful actress. Everyone thinks it's because of her outward appearance that she became famous, but after working together, I realized her inner heart and personality are also good," the actor said.
