Television actor Nakuul Mehta's much-awaited show "Ishqbaaaz" will finally go on air from Monday, June 27, replacing "Tamanna" at the 10 p.m. time slot on Star Plus. The show will revolve around the lives of the Oberoi family's three brothers: Shivaay (played by Nakuul), Omkara (played by Kunal Jaisingh) and Rudra (played by Leenesh Mattoo).

The three brothers have discrete personalities and contrasting lifestyles but stand united in tough times, the Times of India reported. Shivaay is a businessman with a passion for expanding his Oberoi group. He is blunt and arrogant. Omkara, on the other hand, has no interest in the family business and is an artist by profession. The youngest of the three, Rudra makes his way into the women's hearts with his attractive looks.

The concept of "Ishqbaaaz" is unique and the story will narrate the journey of the rich and powerful brothers with distinct traits and if they remain united in different phases of their lives.

"'Ishqbaaaz' will be a breath of fresh air; each brother will represent a journey of great learning and coming of age like never seen before. We will be handling topics like feudalism, spirituality, objectification of women and most importantly, love in modern times," producer Gul Khan told the Times of India.

Recently, there was a buzz that Disha Parmar would do a cameo in "Ishqbaaaz." Disha and Nakuul gained popularity when the starred in "Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara." "The details of Disha's role is not clear, but it is certain that she will be seen in a small but pivotal role," Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) had quoted a source as saying.

If the rumour turns out to be true, it would be a visual treat for the fans of Nakuul and Disha to see them sharing the screen space once again.
