Actor and BJP MP Hema Malini is still grieving the loss of her actor-husband Dharmendra, who passed away in November 2025. Despite being unable to fathom the loss of her husband, the actor has resumed her duties; however, her actions seem to tell a different story. Recently, Hema Malini attended a sports event and awarded medals to the participants.
A video from the MP Sports Competition has gone viral on social media, with netizens slamming the veteran actress for her facial expressions. In the video, Hema Malini is seen awarding students with medals, but her seemingly rude behaviour and unpleasant expressions have caught attention. While giving the medals and placing them around the participants' necks, she is repeatedly seen giving grumpy looks and wiping her hands and palms.
Netizens pointed out that there was neither happiness on her face while giving the medals nor did she congratulate the players, which has left fans extremely angry.
One person commented, "Isse accha to baccho ke parents ko bula ke unse dilte medal. Khush to hote parents aur bacche." ( It would have been good they called kids parents)
Another wrote, "Itna gussa mein kyun de rahe madam? You can smile, there is no extra charge. Yeh bachche log ne bahut mehnat kiya hai, kuch congratulations etc bol sakte the. Lekin yeh event organisers ki galti hai.." ( Why is she angry, she can smile and also give the medals)
One more added, "Aise logon ko guest kyun banate ho jab unko koi khushi nahi hai? Mat karo logon ki insult aise logon ko bula kar." ( Its an insult to kids, who have perfomed hard.)

Another user said that she might even want to burn the clothes since she looked so angry.

Appearing uncomfortable and upset, Hema swiftly pushed the woman's hand away. A man then intervened and pulled the woman away from her.

After an illustrious career in films, Hema Malini has been serving as a Lok Sabha MP for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), representing Mathura since 2014. She began her acting career in 1963 with the Tamil film Idhu Sathiyam and played her first lead role in Sapno Ka Saudagar (1968). She went on to star in several iconic Hindi films such as Seeta Aur Geeta, Amir Garib, Dharmatma, Sholay, Dream Girl, The Burning Train, Baghban, and Aarakshan.
