Just when everyone's going nuts over how crazily empty Deepika Padukone's diary looks for the coming year, a strong buzz about her next film has emerged.
A 9xe.com report states that director Sujoy Ghosh has approached the leading lady for "Kahaani 2".
Roughly two years ago, Vidya Balan confirmed that there would be no sequel as Sujoy and producer Jayantilal Gada have gone separate ways after a bitter fallout. But looks like things have changed for the better.
Talking to the web portal about the sequel, Gada said he was keen on producing as and when the team is ready.
"Sujoy is free to take the franchise ahead. He has been trying to put that project together since quite sometime. Let him put his cast together, I will be glad to produce the film," he told the portal.
However, the news of Sujoy wanting DP in his film is in stark contrast to what the actress said a few days ago.
"Just to set the record straight, I have signed no new films as of 2016. I have not signed any film here either," she told The Indian Express.
In other news, her photo with Vin Diesel went viral and there was a strong buzz about how she had finally landed an international project opposite the Hollywood star in "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage".
