A man in Haryana has reportedly decided to file a lawsuit against Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Yogpeeth after allegedly finding dead worms in the atta noodles manufactured by the trust.

The man, identified as Vinod Kumar from Narwana city of Jind district, had bought the instant noodles from a retail store that is authorised to sell Patanjali products on Thursday. He said that there were worms in the cooked noodles and also inside the packet.

"I had gone to purchase half kg of ghee from the shop. However, I bought a packet of atta noodles apart from desi ghee and biscuits as I thought the noodles were healthy. When I cooked the noodles the next day, I found dead worms. When I looked inside the packet which still had some noodles left, there were some worms inside as well," India Today quoted Kumar as saying.

"I immediately reached the Patanjali outlet to register my complaint about the packet," he added.

The retail store owner has reportedly stopped the sale of Patanjali atta noodles and took the complaint from Kumar.

"As soon as I learnt about worms being found inside a packet, I stopped selling noodles and informed the wholesaler about it. Being a retail shop owner, I can hardly do anything about worms being found inside a packet," the store owner said, India Today reported.

This incident is likely to come as a setback for yoga guru Ramdev as the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) had earlier claimed that Patanjali Yogpeeth did not take approval from the regulator to manufacture instant atta noodles that came in the market on 15 October.

Patanjali Atta Noodles was believed to give a competition to other brands that sell instant noodles, but with the recent allegations it is likely to land in trouble soon.
