Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris' relationship may have come to an end, but many are unable to shrug off the shock they are in. The latest reaction came from the "Bad Blood" singer's ex, Harry Styles, who thought the couple would walk down the aisle soon.

The One Direction member was reportedly shocked by the news of Swift and Harris' split. According to an article on Hollywood Life, the British singer thought he would see his ex get engaged to the DJ.

A source told the outlet: "He's pretty sure Taylor will have a lot of to write about when it comes to working on her next album."

Indeed, many of Swift's fans thought she would eventually marry the Scottish DJ. The two have never shied away from professing their love for each other. The "Blank Space" singer even celebrated her one-year anniversary with Harris with a romantic vacation on a tropical island.

The pictures, later uploaded on Instagram, provided fans with nuggets of information about their relationship, one which seemed loving and magical.

In an interview with Vogue, Swift, 26, even said: "I'm in a magical relationship right now. And of course I want it to be ours, and low-key... This is the one thing that's been mine about my personal life."

And it seems as if that mutual love and respect hasn't ended. According to reports, Swift and Harris broke up in a very mature fashion and there wasn't a huge fight which impelled or preceded their split.

Harris finally addressed their break up by recently tweeting: "The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect." Although Swift hasn't made a statement yet, she did retweet her ex's message.
