Siju Wilson, Justin John and Sharafudheen, who rose to fame with the blockbuster movie "Premam," are back again with the latest Malayalam film "Happy Wedding." The comedy romantic entertainer, released on May 20, has opened to average response from the movie-goers.

The release of Dulquer Salmaan's most-anticipated flick "Kammatipaadam" on the same day has affected the business of the movie, directed by debutant Omar Lalu.

Plot

"Happy Wedding" narrates the life of a group of engineering students. The friendship between Hari (Siju), Robin (Sharafudheen) and Tyson (Justin) as well as the love story of Hari and Shahina (Anu Sithara) are the main theme of the film, which also has Soubin Shahir, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Saiju Kurup and Thesni Khan in supporting roles.

Here's what the audience and critics have to say about "Happy Wedding:"

Ok First Half Slow Start then Picked up Well Avg Story But Entertaining A Lots Of Double Meaning Comedies Premam Team #Happywedding

Decent Entertainer No Big Story But Well Packed With Fun Good Direction and Casting 3rd Heroine Wachable One 2.75/5

Now Running

The USP of 'Happy Wedding' is that it brings together a series of actors who had left an impression in the blockbuster 'Premam'. Apart from that, 'Happy Wedding' is neither a 'Premam' nor even a patch on it, and comes across as an indolent comedy that makes do with a few senseless laughs here and there. 'Happy Wedding' is just a harmless comic caper that could pass off as transitory entertainment. There is hardly anything in it that you would carry back home with you, and is likely to be forgotten the moment you step out of the cinema halls.

Cinema Daddy

Happy Weddings surprises with its simple narration and hilarious premise. Directed by debutante Omar Lulu the film has Premam actors Soubin Shaheer,Siju Wilson,Sharafudheen,Justin etc in key roles. he ability of actors to work out humour can save a movie even when the narration is one dimensional and lacking in surprise. Twists and turns are dispensable if the scenes evoke relentless fun through acting pyrotechnics. Dialogues are laced with humour and the young brigade thrive with vigour. Though there are lags here and there Happy Weddings does provide happy moments dime a dozen and it can be passed off as a passable entertainer.
