Here's a list of some slasher movies that can be watched to make this Halloween super scary.

Halloween (1978): The plot of this movie is set in Illinois, and starts off with six-year-old Michael killing his older sister with a kitchen knife on Halloween night in 1963. About 15 years later, Michael, now 21, escapes fom the psychiatric hospital he has been admitted and returns home. He starts stalking high school student Laurie Strode and her friends with the intention of killing them. Michael's psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis suspects his intentions and tries to prevent Michael from killing them.

Night of the Living Dead (1968): This cult classic is set in a rural farmhouse in Western Pennsylvania and the movie has a group of people hiding from bloodthirsty zombies in a farmhouse. The film opens with siblings Barbara and Johnny Blair driving to rural Pennsylvania to visit their father's grave. But Johnny is killed while trying to prevent a stranger from attacking his sister. Barbara escapes and arrives at a farmhouse where she encounters another group who has sought refuge there.

Poltergeist (1982): This film is set in a California suburb, and the plot revolves around a family whose youngest daughter has been abducted by ghosts. The family soon enlists the help of parapsychologists, who confirm that they are experiencing a poltergeist intrusion, and soon the head of the family, Steven, finds out that their home is built where a cemetery was once located.

Paranormal Activity (2007): The first film in the Paranormal Activity series is set in 2006 and it follows the life of a young couple, Katie and Micah. Shortly after moving into a suburban home, they experience unusual activity in their home and Katie believes they are being terrorised by a demon that has been tormenting her for a long time. Terrifying events follow shortly after the couple set up video cameras and other surveillance equipment to capture evidence of it on film.

Evil Dead (2013): The movie is a reimagining of the original, The Evil Dead, and it stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore. The summary of the movie on IMDB reads: "Five friends head to a remote cabin, where the discovery of a Book of the Dead leads them to unwittingly summon up demons living in the nearby woods. The evil presence possesses them until only one is left to fight for survival."
