A poll conducted by a matrimonial website has chosen Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri as the best married couple who share great friendship.
Matrimonial site Shaadi.com conducted a poll on various categories, including best friends in marriage and best friends in siblings ahead of the friendship day on 4 August.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have been chosen as the best couple enjoying great friendship by getting 45.3 percent of votes. Actress Madhuri Dixit and her doctor-husband Sriram Nene have bagged the second spot with 32.3 percent votes. "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" actor Farhan Akhtar and his wife Adhuna came third with 22.5 percent votes.
In the category of best friends in sibling relationship, Salman Khan and his two brothers - Arbaaz and Sohail - took the top spot, receiving the highest score of 69.6 percent. Kareena Kapoor Khan and her sister Karisma came second with 38.4 percent votes.
"The poll showcases the value of friendship in relationships, which we strongly believe in. These are some of the most successful Bollywood relationships whose love and understanding for each other also makes them good friends," Gourav Rakshit, COO, Shaadi.com said in a statement.
"The results suggest that people are looking at celebrities as real people with real relationships," he added.
The matrimonial site also carried out the poll to find out the best friends in a parent-child relationship. "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" star Ranbir Kapoor and his mother Neetu won more votes in the category of best friends in mother-son relationship with 63.7 percent votes. Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha and his daughter Sonakshi fetched 38.9 percent votes in the best friends in father-daughter relationship, while Amitabh and son Abishek were voted the best friends in a father-son relationship with a score of 53.8 percent.
