As Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 65 on Thursday, 17 September, 2015, well-wishers have extended greetings to him.

The hashtag #HappyBdayPM has been trending on Twitter since Thursday morning.

World number one badminton player Saina Nehwal had on Wednesday presented her racquet to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wishing him a "happy birthday. It was the same racquet, with which she became the first Indian to win silver medal at the Badminton World Championship.

"I am pleased to meet honourable prime Minister and wished him Happy birthday in advance," PTI quoted Nehwal as saying.

"I am happy to present him a racket for his birthday. It's really good to know that he follows every sport regularly and also interesting thing is he spoke to me about my matches. He also congratulated me for my World Championship medal."

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister visited Shauryanjali, which is a commemorative exhibition on the Golden Jubilee of 1965 Indo-Pak War, at the Rajpath in New Delhi on Thursday.
