Happy birthday Genelia Deshmukh: How Riteish Deshmukh and other celebs made her day special

Genelia Deshmukh has turned 28 today. The actress, who was born on Aug. 5, has been receiving loads of wishes from Bollywood celebrities.

While several film stars have been wishing Genelia on her special day, Riteish Deshmukh's message for his wife is, of course, the cutest one.

"Happy Birthday Baiko @geneliad – nothing makes me happier than seeing you smile. Have the bestest one. #HBDGenelia [sic]," Riteish said on Twitter. Genelia too responded to the message in an equally sweet manner, saying, "Thank you Navra.. Ur the reason I smile always .. Love you so much [sic]."

A host of Bollywood stars have wished the birthday girl on Twitter. Apart from fans, celebs like Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri, Huma Qureshi, Vishal Dadlani and many others have wished the actress on the micro-blogging site.

Genelia had made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with the movie, "Tujhe Meri Kasam," for which she was nominated for the Star Screen award for most promising newcomer in female category. She was seen as Riteish's onscreen wife in the movie "Masti" in 2004 and that had brought her in limelight.

Later she did a number of Tamil and Telugu movies and was seen in the movie, "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na" in 2008. The actress won much appreciation for her performance in the film and was nominated for multiple awards.

Her last big Hindi film in which she had a full fledged role was "Force" (2011) opposite John Abraham. The movie did good business at the box office. Rumours suggest that she will also have a cameo appearance in the upcoming "Force 2."
