Actress Amala Paul's journey from her cameo appearance in the 2009 Malayalam film "Neelathamara" to one of the top earning actress of the South Indian entertainment industry is remarkable.
Her character in Prabhu Solomon directorial "Mynaa" made her a household name in the industry and she received the Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress for her performance in it.
Following the success of "Mynaa", she was later part of many big budget films by acting opposite the lead superstars of the industries like Mohanlal, Vijay, Vikram, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Dhanush, Fahadh Faaisl, Nivin pauly, Arya, Siddharth, among many others.
However, unlike other actresses, she continued acting in films even after her marriage to director AL Vijay of "Madrasipattanam" fame in June 2014. With more than five million followers on Facebook, the fashion icon of the industry is still loved by her fans even after her marriage.
The "Run Baby Run" actress was last seen opposite Mohanlal in "Laila O Laila" and will be next seen in a cameo role along with superstar Suriya in "Pasanga 2", a Tamil children's film directed by Pandiaraj.
Born on 26 October 1991 in Ernakulam, Amala celebrates her 24th birthday on Monday.
