Allahabad, March 16 (ANI): Although 'Holi', the festival of colours, is celebrated with dance and spraying colours on each other across India, but in Allahabad, residents celebrated it in their unique manner by taking out a hammer procession in which the hammer is adorned like a groom along with a fan as its bride. All the traditional rituals of a Hindu marriage were performed to wed the hammer and the fan on this occasion. The procession herald the beginning of Holi festivities. Meanwhile, one of the organizers, Sanjay Singh, said the procession also witnesses the breaking of a pumpkin that is filled with colours, which is then splashed over the revellers.
