"Hamari Adhuri Kahani", which had opened to mixed reviews, has turned out to be profitable for the producers Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt.

The film, which had started on a slow note at the Indian box office, stars Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan in the lead, and has emerged as a successful venture after five days.

According to Bollywood Hungama, "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" was made with a budget of ₹35 crore and has made a profit of ₹1.46 crore at the domestic box office till 16 June. Considering the reviews that the film got, trade analysts believe that the business of the movie is decent and the film has the scope of earning more by the end of its first week at the box office.

"Hamari Adhuri Kahani" television rights have been sold to Sony for a whooping 22.50 crore and the film's rate of Return on Investiment is 4.16 percent.

On the other hand, the six-day box office collection of "Hamari Adhuri Kahani"  has reached ₹25.04 crore. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh,  the movie collected ₹2.57 crore on its first Wednesday.

Directed by Mohit Suri, the script of "Hamari Adhuri Kahani" was jointly written by Mahesh Bhatt and Shagufta Rafiq. Besides Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan, the movie's star cast also included Rajkumar Rao, Sara Khan, Madhurima Tuli, Suhasini Mulay and Amala Akkineni.
