2015 is the year of great First Person Shooters (FPS). Maybe you have overlooked the release dates for all the big name titles this year, but November is one awesome month that's filled with scheduled dates for official releases. Get ready to empty your wallets.

As far as the titles are concerned, the two big FPS that we are waiting for, are Halo 5: Guardians and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Both are showing immense capability of being the top-notch shooter of the year, although there can only be one winner.

And before the official releases, we compare Halo 5: Guardians and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Halo 5: Guardians

The newest Halo is set to  be released on 27 October, 2015, exclusively for the Xbox One. So that's probably one good reason to finally invest on a new-gen console.

When 343 Industries took up the responsibility for the Halo series, it was already a mainstream franchise, thanks to the guys over at Bungie who made the initial titles of the series. However, 343 did a good job for Halo 4 and there's really no point why Halo 5 will not live up to the expectations – remember the extremely promising multiplayer beta?

Halo games are usually fast, although not as arcade-like the Call of Duty titles, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. And in case you didn't know, 343 has done well to carryover a number of strategies for the new game from the previous Halo title. For instance, you can still drop an opponent's shield via single hit and can mix it with combo kills.

Honestly, the new Halo will be a treat for all those who are big fans of the Gears of War franchise. For starters, suppressing fire is set to play a major role while inside team battles. On top of that, player armour is also set to be linked with the weapons, letting you zoom in on targets.

However, what excites us more is the 12 vs 12 Warzone mode that's complete with Requisition perks that will only augment the overall experience. On an overall, we won't be surprised if Guardians turns out to be the best Halo title of all time.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

If Halo 5 is set to take the year by storm, expect something similar, if not great, from the upcoming Black Ops 3 title in the Call of Duty franchise. However, unlike Halo 5, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 won't be exclusive to any certain console and will rather be made available for all major consoles like Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and also PC.

As always, a huge impetus has been put on the way zombies are dished out in each of the CoD games, and Black Ops 3 won't be any different. For instance, there will be two Zombies storylines in the game, both of which will directly tie into the Zombies storylines in Black Ops 2.

Apart from that, Treyarch has included four-player co-op for the campaign mode, apart from customisable soldiers and more refreshing approach to everything that's in the campaign. For multiplayer, fans will get a new Specialist class system that will allow you to select one of nine different soldiers.

Each of these guys will come with a variety of abilities. Players can even customise their weapons via the new Gunsmith feature, apart from slight changes made to movement aspect in the game. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is currently set to release 6 November, 2015.

Stay tuned for more updates!
