Developer 343 Industies' popular FPS title, Halo 4 has received a new matchmaking update that has added the Ninja Assassin playlist mode.

The new Ninja Assassins will be an 8 player, free-for all game and will feature the Spartans who will be in their armor and equipped with Energy Swords and Sniper Rifles. They will be outfitter with the Thruster Pack.

The Motion tracker however, will be disabled and each kill will fetch 10 points. But players must "watch their back" said the post on Halo Waypoint. Players successfully carrying out the assassinations will get 30 points. They can level up if they can get the kills in succession - one kill will get them level one and 2 kills level two and so one. Below are some of the details and attributes of each level:  

Ninja Level 1

Shields recharge at a faster rate (2x)

Assassinations performed at a faster rate (2x)

Ninja Level 2

Shields recharge at a faster rate (2x)

Shields recharge sooner than normal (after 3 seconds)

Assassinations performed at a faster rate (3x)

Ninja Level 3

Shields recharge at a faster rate (2x)

Shields recharge sooner than normal (after 2 seconds)

Assassinations performed at a faster rate (4x)

Unlimited Thruster Pack energy

The Neutral Flag game type will be played on Ragnarok, Exile and Longbow.  343 Industries also said that the update has also added new community maps - Excavation and Panic Station.

The game which was released on 6 November 2012 is an Xbox 360 exclusive, where the player controls the protagonist of the game, Mater Chief who is an enhanced supersoldier. Players will meet alien races like Covenant and Prometheans. Master Chief is assisted by an AI known as Cortana.
