A shocking incident has gripped the film industry, as actor Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped an alleged assassination attempt in Mumbai. On Sunday evening, Tiger was leaving for his football match, accompanied by his driver, when three bike-borne men allegedly opened fire at his car. Tiger remained unharmed, but his driver was reportedly injured.

A video soon emerged in which a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit, claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, said Tiger Shroff was on their hit list for allegedly not heeding their directions and working with Salman Khan.

In the viral video, a man can be heard speaking in Hindi: "I am Anil Pandit. I am like a younger brother to Lawrence Bishnoi. What happened with Tiger Shroff today, we take responsibility for that Harman Sandhu and myself." He further claimed that Tiger had been warned but had failed to understand their message.

He added, "In the entire film industry, whoever works without aligning with us, or works with Salman Khan, will be killed. This is the first and last warning."

The man also warned that unless Salman Khan apologised to Lawrence Bishnoi and the animal-loving Bishnoi community, apparently over his alleged involvement in the blackbuck hunting case, they would not spare anyone in his family, including his pet dogs.

The CM of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, has called for a swift probe. He also spoke to the Mumbai police chief and advised Mumbaikars to stay calm and maintain law and order in the city

Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in a Gujarat jail, has repeatedly threatened to kill Salman Khan.

Tiger Shroff and Salman Khan have not starred together in a full-length feature film, although they share several industry connections. Salman reportedly helped pave the way for Tiger's entry into Bollywood by advising producer Sajid Nadiadwala to launch him. Tiger's father, Jackie Shroff, has worked with Salman in several major films. The two actors have also shared stages and frequently expressed mutual admiration for each other's fitness and dedication to action films.

In 2023, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) reportedly identified Salman Khan as the top target on a list of 10 people that jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi allegedly planned to eliminate. The threat was linked to the actor's infamous 1998 blackbuck hunting case, which, according to Bishnoi, offended the Bishnoi community.
