Vadodara, Sep 10 (ANI): Alarmed by the flood havoc created in Kashmir, the government of Gujarat was on high alert following heavy, incessant rains that have disrupted normal life in the state. Reportedly, with incessant rains since Monday morning and with Sardar Sarovar dam overflowing, people residing on the banks of river Dhadhar have been asked to exercise caution as heavy rains were forecast in the next 72 hours. In wake of a flood like situation, the state government beefed up precautionary measures to safeguard the residents of the area. Chief Minister of Gujarat, Anandiben Patel, surveying the area said that people have been alerted about the situation and measures have been implemented to safeguard them. Residents of the area said that the road connecting Vadodara to other areas was completely submerged.
