The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has been hit by porn controversies, has got some respite with the Forensic Science Laboratory in Gandhinagar giving clean chit to the two BJP MLAs accused of watching porn in the Gujarat Assembly.

BJP MLAs Shankarbhai Lagadhirbhai Chaudhary from Radhanpur and Jethabhai Ghelabhai Ahir Bharwad from Shehra were reportedly caught by a journalist watching pornographic pictures on their iPad for about 20 minutes while the proceedings in the assembly were on.

The FSL findings based on the forensic examination of the iPad used by the MLAs shows that the accused didn't watch porn in the Assembly. Chaudhary and Bharwad rubbished the reports of them watching porn on their iPad in the assembly. The MLAs said that they would resign if found guilty.

Proceedings in the assembly were disrupted for the second consecutive day on Friday with the Congress MLAs demanding the resignation of the MLAs who had allegedly watched porn in the house.

It may be recalled that the BJP government in Karnataka was recently hit by a porn scandal after three of its MALs - Karnataka Co-operation Minister Laxman Savadi, Women and Child Welfare Minister CC Patil and Minister for Ports and Science and Technology Krishna Palemar - were caught watching porn in the assembly. The ministers resigned following the controversy and a committee that probed the incident has found Laxman Savadi guilty.
