Rockstar has finally responded to the question of what happened to the long promised and delayed Online Heists pack in "Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online".
The developer has stated that Heists will face a further delay and also tendered an apology to fans. Online Heists was promised during the beginning of GTA Online but it has now been clarified that players will not get to see its release any time soon.
"We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated," stated Rockstar in the comment section of the recently unveiled 'I'm Not a Hipster' update to GTA Online.
"We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support," the statement added.
Rockstar, however, said that it has "lots of other ongoing content updates, enhancements and additions to the world of GTA Online that are on the way".
Online Heists will be a multiplayer version of the single player campaign. The main objective of Heists missions would be to strike a bank and escape with as much money as possible. This mission has to be undertaken by teaming up with friends or other players. Heists missions are reported to be complicated.
The delay in the release of Online Heists has been a disappointment to players since the mode was shown during the GTA Online announcement trailer in August 2013. But the developer has promised that it will eventually be released. The delay could have been caused due to final fixes of bugs and other issues.
Rockstar Games recently released a new update for GTA Online - 'I'm Not a Hipster' - which brings 12 new jobs; cars like Glendale, Warrener, Blade, Rhapsody, Panto and Dubsta; weapons like Vintage Pistol and Antique Cavalry Dagger; new retro print tees, skinny jeans, hairstyles, tattoos, animal masks and many more enhancements.
