Rockstar has released a new update for its popular video game "GTA 5 Online." Called Power Play, it promises to bring power ups to the game. Power Play update will be available for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions of "GTA 5 Online."
Power Play will add power-ups to the game, which will change urban warfare rules by bringing special abilities. It noted in its Newswire post that players need to choose these power-ups wisely as they have a time limit on them.
The post notes six such power-ups, namely:
- Beasted: Transform into the Beast and use special powers like invisibility, super jump, and super strength.
- Zoned: Slow down time for all players, giving snipers a tactical advantage over exposed enemies.
- Doped: Dull your enemy's senses with a trippy green haze; they'll never see that flank coming.
- Raging: Unleash a rampage with your entire team by inflicting increased damage while taking reduced damage.
- Flipped: Scramble your opponents by picking up Flipped, temporarily inverting all enemy camera controls and mixing team chat to truly get in their heads.
- Dark: Take your team off the grid for well-timed sneak attacks.
It also explained that each player will be able to use the power-up only once but players can also get together with other teammates as part of strategy. Players will also be able to trigger these power-ups to numb enemy advantages.
Here are the three Power Play Jobs for "GTA 5 Online" players:
- Power Play I (Aircraft Carrier)
- Power Play II (Vespucci Beach)
- Power Play III (Bolingbroke Prison)
Grotti X80 Proto
Rockstar also released a new supercar, Grotti X80 Proto, which will be available at Legendary Motorsport in-game.
Rockstar has shared some tips of when and where to use them. It said that this vehicle will help players make Special Cargo Deliveries and escaping wanted levels.
Power Play week — Double GTA money and RP
Rockstar has also announced a new Power Play week from June 21 to 27, where "GTA 5 Online" players will be able to earn double GTA money and RPs, thanks to the new Power Play Playlist (available from GTA 5 loading screen.)
Players will be able to unlock an exclusive Grotti owner Club T-shirt by participating in Power Play week.
Apart from this, the event will also release several discounts:
- Lampadati Toro is discounted by 50 percent.
- All the three variations of the Swift and the Buckingham Valkyrie are discounted by 50 percent.
- Homing Launcher is discounted by 33 percent.
