"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 is currently on a long hiatus. ABC last aired episode 8 "Things We Lost in Fire" on 19 November, before it went on a midseason break. And the network is now expected to return with episode 9, "The Sound of Silence", on 11 February, 2016.

Last time on "Grey's Anatomy", we saw various twisted relationship dilemmas and cliffhangers that were left behind after the midseason finale. At the end of episode 8, we saw Jo proposing Alex after their huge conflict, April having sex with Jackson and Meredith-Amelia issues just getting worse.

Now, with about just one month left for the season to return, speculations are getting wilder and wilder. Some reports have already claimed that Meredith will ask Amelia to leave their home and that there could be divorce ahead for April and Jackson.

But one of the major revelations that fans are hoping to see is about Owen's sister. Before the show went on hiatus, it also showed how Owen confessed to Meredith that he has a sister. Now, the future episodes will show the repercussions of this confession.

According to DesignnTrend, episode 9 will reveal more details about Owen Hunt's sister and Nathan Riggs' dark past. The report stated that Owen's sister would have possibly been married to Riggs in the past.

Meanwhile, even actor Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) in an interview confirmed that Nathan's relationship with Owen's sister may be revealed in the midseason premiere. "They were definitely romantically involved and something happened — something Owen can't forgive or reconcile in himself, and that's what exciting to find out," he said.
